Berry Bros. & Rudd - Williamson (Laphroaig) 2013 - The Whisky Lounge Exclusive

Introducing our long-awaited return to bottling – a stunning single cask Williamson (Laphroaig), selected and bottled in collaboration with the esteemed Berry Bros. & Rudd. This exceptional Islay single malt has been matured in a Moscatel wine cask, adding layers of sweetness and complexity to its bold, smoky core.

Eddie describes it as: “On the nose, there is an aroma reminiscent of summer in a herb garden, a midnight firework party on the beach, with a savoury quality reminding us of summers spent in Spain – deli meats and hot honey. On the palate, there’s sweet spice with chilli heat, smoky citrus, and a hint of Kendal Mint Cake. The finish is long, minty, sweet yet balanced.”

Thomas picks up: “Wet peat, smouldering matches, smoked apple, and caramel sauce on the nose. On the palate, it's ashy smoke, BBQ bacon, smoked fish on the beach, with a sweet, jammy finish and lingering smoke.”

Bottled at cask strength and strictly limited in number to 140 bottles, this is a deeply expressive dram that brings together classic Laphroaig character with the richness of Moscatel influence. A must-have for smoky whisky lovers and curious palates alike.
